FAITH JOURNEYS FAITH SHARING GROUP

Small faith-sharing groups give us the opportunity to discuss our ongoing journey toward Jesus. Groups of approximately 8 people meet on a weekly basis to share their ideas and pose their questions regarding their relationship with God. Group discussions are directed following a study guide that is prepared in advance. In addition to sharing our opinions and listening to the opinions of others, group members get to know other members of the parish. These faith-based groups create a safe environment to express our deepest emotions about the Lord.

FAQ

• Do I have to know a lot about Scripture to be a member of the group? 
  • No. The group has a study guide to follow. No prior knowledge is necessary to participate in the discussions.
    
• I'm kind of shy about expressing my beliefs. Should I join a group that involves faith-sharing? 
  • Yes. Your personal style will be respected. Some group members are more comfortable listening than speaking. You will still gain a wonderful perspective about the topics discussed.
• What kind of person generally participates in a group like this? Will I fit in?
  • The Body of Christ has many different members, young and old, male and female, married and single. We all bring our own point of view and learn from listening to the points of view of others. Everyone is welcome.

The Small Faith-Sharing groups meet on Wednesdays in Dentici Hall (the Parish Hall) from 12pm-3pm.
