Procedure for Service Hours

Many young people come to us requesting service opportunities for school, confirmation programs, NHS and other student programs. In order to facilitate this efficiently and ensure the proper recognition of the hours volunteered, we ask that you follow the procedure below:

• Contact the parish or parish representative in advance to arrange the time, date, and project on which you will be working.
• Bring your school, parish, NHS, etc. service hours form with your at the time of your volunteering.
• It is your responsibility to submit the forms to the staff member or ministry supervisor on the day of your volunteerism and to make sure that you get it back signed.
• If additional paperwork is required for your program to give you credit, it must be requested at the time of your service. We will not be able to vouch for work done previously.
• Paperwork submitted by parents at a later date will not be considered.
